This is just simply a gorgeous doe!!
Well grown and correct, Daphne
earned her dry LEG at the TVDGA show in Homedale, ID in 2010. Daphne earned
her second LEG as a milking doe at the R.D.G.A 2013 show in Roseburg, OR under
judge Timothy Flickinger. She has earned her third LEG at the 2013 Union County Fair under judge Tracy Stampke. Daphne has an extremely capacious mammary system that holds a large volume of milk without losing texture or quality of fore udder attachment. Her general appearance and high appraisal score confirms that she is showing many of the qualities I hope to pass on in the herd.

Daphne was bred to Redwood Hills True Cairo for April 2021 kids. This will result in American designation kids but we choose to embrace the quality of offspring we see resulting from Cairo regardless of American designation on papers.

Verbena holds a special place in this herd as my 10 year  old son Tanner's doe. Verbena has been such a fun doe to show! To start off her 2013 show  season Verbena was reserve CH in 3 rings with tough competition at the Syringa show in Boise. At the R.D.G.A show in Roseburg, OR she had a spectacular show, placing Champion Nubian under judges Dakota Darst and Patricia Ricotta finishing her permanent CH status. She was also Best Udder of Breed under all four judges: Dr. Lauren Acton, Timothy Flickinger, Dakota Darst, and Patricia Ricotta. Verbena then won BEST UDDER IN SHOW under Timothy Flickinger, Dakota Darst, and Patricia Ricotta. A great finish for a beautiful sweet doe with amazing lateral attachments.

Teasel is another Wingwood addition that we are beyond excited to see in our barn. Teasel shows an exceptional ability to hold her milk steady through late lactation, even after travelling and moving herds. Her milk production and components landed her solidly as the premier Nubian production award winner at the 2015 ADGA National show.

Teasel is geriatric and will be bred for Fall 2021 kids to hold condition and make winter easier on her.

Alyssum is simply a very exciting 2 year old for us!! She combines a smoothness throughout, beautiful breed character, an incredibly level rump and a capacious well attached mammary.  Despite being 12 days premature at birth she has become a well grown large bodied doe.  Alyssum has been IVF flushed to Blissberry Rock Hard. All embryos are frozen at this time.

Emalisse is the product of a well known dam line (Dam Emma is full sister to Iron-Owl Flying Dragon) and an exciting AI for us. This 2nd freshening 3 year old looks to only get better as she matures in body capacity and depth. She has the mammary shape and texture to be highly competitive as well as beautiful breed character, width and flatness throughout.

This young doe exhibits the incredibly flat topline like so many Woest-Hoeve bred does along with the udder texture and mammary capacity of her lineage. She  possesses beautiful Nubian breed character in addition to being flat boned and dairy. Senna needs time to grow and mature but she is a part of the show string that we are excited to watch over the next couple years!

Senna is due January 2021 with kids by Woest-Hoeve Jimmy Choo. Jimmy is son of the 2018 and 2019 Nubian National Champion Woest-Hoeve FB Jellie.

Sire: DKGH Playboy's Rock It

Valkyrie is a first freshening 2 year old in 2020 who shows strength in general appearance and mammary. We appreciate the style she brings to the show herd and expect her to grow and mature to a sizeable doe like her dam Vinca.

Valkyrie is bred to Lakeshore Vin's Belluomo for late March 2021 kids.

Grande Ronde RTC Emmalyn

Sire: Redwood Hills True Cairo
Dam: Grande Ronde MC Emalisse
DOB: 01/14/2019

This doe is one of the first milking daughters in the herd by Cairo. We are ecstatic about the production and quality of mammaries these daughters are showing us. Through no fault of her own her first lactation was cut short by critical decisions that had to be made in 2020. Emmalyn will be retained in the show herd and show off what she can milk in 2021.

Emmalyn is due 1/31/21 for kids by Grande Ronde LVB Red Rowan.

This sweet lady came to us from Washington State spring 2020 and can show everyone in the barn what it means to milk! Her lactation was cut short in 2020 as we experienced a horrific fire season and needed to make some drastic cuts to the show milk string as we made room for an emergency situation.

Marigold is a 5 year who really caught our eye as a 3 year old. She is showing a beautiful general appearance combined with body capacity, depth, and production. Marigold stood second in her debut show at the Union County Fair amid lovely competition. She placed 3rd at the 2016 Western Washington State fair and has since spent her career working hard at the dairy. Marigold has an outstanding daughter (Grande Ronde LSH Sweet Alyssum) currently in the show string.

Marigold was flushed IVF for ET babies by Blissberry Rock Hard with 9 resulting offspring April 2020. She will remain dry in 2021.

This almost 8 year old gets stellar general appearance from her SGCH dam Daphne. Pictured here as a 3 year old she has deepened out and stands on beautiful feet and legs. I am pleased with her width from chest floor all the way back through the thurls and hocks. Danae was 3rd in her 3 year old class at the Oregon State Fair and paired with her dam Daphne placed first in the Dam/Daughter class.

This doe is truly a standout in the geriatric pen and her peak show days were a casualty of our intense commercial expansion and personal lack of time to get out. She's a knockout with 2 upcoming daughters in the show pen by Lakeshore Vin's Belluomo.

Danae is confirmed bred to Redwood Hills True Cairo. Resulting offspring will have American Designation.

Grande Ronde GRA Spellbound

Sire: Grande Ronde Expectation Aspen *B
Dam: XTC TNR Abracadabra
DOB: 03/28/2018

Spellbound is a fun doe to watch. She shows us that typical strength in mammary system characteristic to Aspen daughters. She is immature... but we don't consider that a bad thing around here (No one should want to hit their peak in life in high school *-) . She comes from a long line of individuals that show longevity in the herd.

Spellbound is confirmed to Lakeshore Vin's Belluomo for early February kids 2021.

Grande Ronde DRD Snapdragon

While you will never see this doe in the show ring due to an aggressive mastitis in her first lactation as a yearling, Snapdragon is a doe worth noticing. She is a powerful large bodied doe, yet feminine with plenty of breed character and style. She has been stingy with daughters but her October 2017 kidding by Woest-Hoeve Royal Fortune allowed us to retain a single doe kid in Grande Ronde Lucky Senna.

This pretty spotted doe is all about strength of that mammary system and another example of the depth of quality we had from her sire!! Pictured above from the rear, she has a high, wide rear arch and stellar attachments. Duchess has a lovely front end assembly and I love her breed character about the head as well.  Duchess was BOB and Best Udder of Breed in Ring 2 at the NWODGA show in Salem May 30, 2015.

Daria is one of our grande old ladies who currently resides in the retirement pen. After producing quadruplets spring 2019 it is still being determined whether to breed her for 2020.  Daria was pictured here as a 2 year old but now is a much larger doe showing superior depth and strength throughout. She is wide in the chest floor and carries that width all the way back. She has a well attached, nicely shaped mammary with a smooth fore and capacious rear.

Syringa was a tragic loss and a favorite in the herd. She had a beautiful capacious mammary with a wide rear arch and strong attachments. She has placed BOB twice, most recently at the 2017 Western Idaho Fair. This doe was a solid performer in the parlor still milking 8.9 lb. at last test following a February 2017 freshening.

DOB: 6/30/2004
D: Autumn Glory Juniper
S: Schroeder's Donavon's Duke
2011 Appraisal Score: VVEE "90"

This doe was near and dear to my heart! Part of the orginal Autumn Glory family herd she is a granddaughter of CH  Sugar Lane's Sweet Lily, our original dairy doe in   4-H. Willow moved from  Illinois to Arizona to Oregon with me. After a difficult kidding in 2013 Willow never fully recovered. We spent a year trying to make her thrive again but with a weakened immune system and coming on 10 years of age I made the decision to put her down. She was a large, powerful, deep bodied doe  with an absolutely gorgeous mammary system. She was extremely capacious and wide  in the rear. She had a strong suspensory ligament and as a an almost 9 year old still retained top production and mammary quality. Willow  was Champion Nubian Sr. Doe at the 2011 Syringa show in Boise as well as Best  udder of Breed under judge Chuck Pederson. She was Champion Nubian Sr. doe at  the 2011 Lelia Berry Memorial show in Central Point, OR in both rings  under judges Rachel Conway and Patricia Walker.
